1967 Kennedy SMS Proof Questions - MS vs SP ?

Guys, over the last year or so I have seen a couple of different designations on the PCGS holders and I have a few questions about them.

Coin in Question: 1967 SMS Proof SP/MS DCAM

Older Holders - OGH or White Holders
Labeled - 1967 MS67DCAM SMS

Newer Holders - Blue or Blue/White
Labeled - 1967 SP67DCAM SMS

Both carry the same PCGS Coin #96847

Questions:
1. Why are there (2) different designations? MS67 DCAM & SP67 DCAM
2. Is there really any difference between them?
3. Is there any premium for the older MS Labeled ones
4. Is there any reason to have an older slab re-holdered into a new holder with the SP Designation?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

JD

A few years back PCGS simply switched from calling them MS to SP. This may have occurred around the time that the US Mint was producing the "Satin Finish" mint sets and a distinction was needed between the standard uncirculated finish and the Higher Quality (at the time) Satin Finish.

There is no difference in the 1965-1967 SMS coins, just the designation.
There is no specific premium associated with the older labels unless, for what ever reason, a buyer wants one for his/her collection.
I personally see no reason to reholder the older MS labeled coins under the new SP label.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
