Probably not a whole lot of interest here, but with the World Cup going on right now I decided to do a fun rip of 4 blaster boxes of 2014 Panini Prizm.

My son and I opened for regular boxes...a lot of fun when your kid knows all the players and gets excited to for a base card. Tough to pull an auto but there are some neat numbered prizms...not a lot of value unless you get a big hit...but that's like anything I suppose. Let me know how you do...good luck.

The blaster boxes can be had for between $10 to $15, which is nowhere near the investment that a hobby box of this stuff is.

There is some big money in some of the potential inserts from the 2014 Prizm set, especially the parallel versions of the big combo autos.

Definitely no hits in these boxes today, that's for sure. Just a little fun due to the tourney.

Glad I'm not the only one that thinks that is a TERRIBLE logo. Nothing screams soccer like a hand holding a volleyball.

The Eusebio is tough. I've watched several cases being broken (was in 2), and haven't seen any pulled.

Just looked up eBay completed sales. This set is on fire! I don't know anything about soccer, but in just a quick browse most of the autos in the set are selling for upwards of $50. Compare that to the worthless autos that are in baseball, football and basketball products. Anybody else on here breaking these boxes? Curious to see if people are getting a good ROI on these breaks.

I think it depends -- I broke a case and got four autos. I think one in every 2-3 is about the average. They don't distribute odds on that

The Eusebio card doesn't sell for very much at all, relative to its supposed relative scarcity. You can pick one up for $1.

So the $100 question is, will the prices hold after the World Cup? Or once the excitement ends from this event, will these cards come back to Earth? I don't open much modern products. Pretty much only basketball. The last product that got this much excitement for modern ripping that I can remember, was the 2011-12 Fleer Retro basketball boxes Upper Deck put out. Of course, UD went to that well for football and again with basketball the next year with disastrous results.
