I got this in the mail and it looks sharp. I subbed it back in late February.

Nice grade on the 9.
<< <i>Nice card. I'm definitely resubbing my 5 >>
Just in case you don't know, your card is a 5 because of a surface wrinkle. The only way it will bump is if the grader overlooks the wrinkle which probably won't happen. Even if it does, you're just going to have a 5 incorrectly graded.
Is this a tough issue to find? Perhaps you can find a better copy?

<< <i>This is clearly one of those cards that the PSA slab does wonders for.
Nice grade on the 9. >>
Agree 100%. They look much better slabbed than raw. That's the case with most oddball, odd size cards. I feel like the slab validates them as legit cards
<< <i>Do you see a surface wrinkle or assuming there must be one? That's what I figured too when I saw the grade but I checked it over again and couldn't find any surface flaws. The only thing I could think of is the picture is a bit blurry. >>
Your card looks every bit as good as the op's. A card that looks as good as your's has to have a wrinkle somewhere being that a wrinkle is an automatic 5. I can't see a registration issue knocking that card down to a 5. My bet is the wrinkle is hiding on the back somewhere.

<< <i>Nice card. I'm definitely resubbing my 5. Congrats on the grade! You keeping it or listing it? I'm interested to see what it sells for
Thanks, I have this PSA 9 and I also got a PSA 8 on the same submission. I don't really need two of them, so I just need to decide what card I will part with. It may depend on if I get the small little Cosmos set graded although I missing the Hogan right now. I typically keep higher graded cards for my collection but I am going in so many directions with my collection it would be good to be focused! I parted with a few of the raw Flairs and one issue with these cards is that some of them were "warped". These are not traditional card stock although they are not too flimsy either. Perhaps that is one issue with your card??? My other Ric Flair Cosmos looks nice condition wise but when holding the card and looking straight to the edges of the card it was very apparent to me that there were some issues. I'll probably only part with the Flair 9 if there is a price that I simply cannot refuse.

<< <i>I'm prob just missing a surface flaw.. But my initial thought was the grader was so annoyed with my sub of so much random crap from sets that have never been graded before... I got a 5 out of spite. Any idea how many hogans have surfaced? >>
Let's hope your thought process was wrong
Your Hogan got a 7. Did that seem fair?
I have a Hogan I am sending in very soon.
<< <i>How much warping constitutes a "5"? If it's only a little you better hang on to that "9" as this could be a tough set in high grade. >>
I decided to keep the 9 for now and list my 8. I think I am going to examine the Japanese wrestlers in the set and grade them unofficially myself to see how hard it is to have a mint card from this set. I am thinking it will be fairly tough. I sold a Steve Austin RC WCW magazine card PSA 9 over a year ago for $600 and people thought it was nuts but since that time no others in that grade have popped. This possibly could be the same type deal. We will see.
