The Redbook list the value at $600.I'd offer him 2/3rd's of that as a fair price.IMHO

I would offer more for it if the Jeff has any cameo contrast, or appears to be a high-end grade PR68+...

what's a good price or what's a fair price?? definitely a difference in the two. the value is in the nickel, obviously. there's a small premium in the set as a novelty in regards to the mint error. a much larger premium in the nickel itself depending on grade and especially in degree of cameo. it seems there should be a price in the area of $600-$800 if the nickel has any cameo, $400-$600 if not. and if it doesn't have any cameo, i'd leave the set intact and sit on it.image
