HOF UPS Delivery Problem

Got a UPS tracking number yesterday from the US Mint with an expected delivery date of today. Best I can tell, it is my gold HOF coins that I've been waiting for since day 1. The package requires a signature which is no problem because I'm home today and will be travelling for work tomorrow.
TODAY, I get a UPS tracking number from 'Corporate Overgoods' - Huh? What is this? A quick google search tells me that 'Corporate Overgoods' is the UPS loss/damage division. The new tracking number is linked to the old one and it shows "Address information is missing. The package was returned to the sender. / The package will be forwarded to a UPS facility in the destination city."
Oh, and the new expected delivery date is Tomorrow/Tuesday, when I won't be home. But it's all good because now the instructions are to leave it on the doorstep.
Anyone want to lay bets on what I'll find when I get home?

Another US Mint tote bag?

<< <i>Go to Mint orders page and confirm what product the tracking number is attached to....it would remove the "best I can tell" >>
Interestingly enough the mint orders page does not show anything as shipped, just "in process".

And you say "yesterday"
I've never known them to work on Sunday. Saturday, but not Sunday.
The other worrisome thing is the order page does not show a tracking number.
How do you know that email was from the mint??

I eventually opened it. (no "ship" email from mint. I was thinking it was a mistake. maybe someone else's order.)
Inside is a packing slip with my name, address and order number on it. It is a HOF Silver proof.
very odd. I'm going to have to call and tell them they have already shipped one item to me, as the thing still shows in stock and reserved and no new tracking number is on the page.
<< <i>They ran out of the mint bags so they sent the coin to replace it. >>
oh, yes.
I called and insisted on a supervisor as those CSRs can be hit-or-miss. We'll see how this plays out.
The supervisor says this type of thing happens from time to time where the shipping department ships, but the data is not uploaded right away.... and even though it is monday and mine shipped thursday and it still is not showing shipped online, she said it is electronically recorded somewhere and will eventually show up, and the odd lag time (3 business days and 5 calendar days) is not totally unheard of.
Ahhh...... even computers can't cure bureaucracy.

Somebody has the mint's Shipping Wheel !!!! They are lost without it !!!!!!
Just checked my silver order on the mint website. It says proof was shipped today with tracking number, however
when I checked tracking number on USPS site it shows it was shipped last Friday and is on truck for delivery today.
Guess I will have a suprise in my mail box when I get home. Lucky it is no signature required.
This data will get uploaded later, but who knows when.
