Got a chance to grab this at a little local auction, do you think it is the real McCoy?

I agree. The do look a little suspicious. Some folds go all the way across, others half half folds?? That top left corner raises my suspicion even more because its in the complete opposite direction of the other folds which the person did to probably make it look even more worn as coachnip mentioned.
Buy it and send it in to PSA

The portrait it was the most common card from the Jackie Robinson set.
I used to go to a lot of Hooper auctions years ago (guy that counterfeited a lot of the regular Bond Bread cards) and he never tried selling this.
All that said - How much would I pay to take a chance on it? $20-30 (is it really worth much more than $50-75 in that condition?)
