The 1974 Yamakatsu Andre is actually a rare "insert" card with a gold stamp on the back that was redeemed. Only "winner card" that I have ever seen of Andre. I was pleasantly surprised to get a PSA 8 on the wrestling annual as well. Picked up a few key PSA 10s of Strongbow and Mascaras.....finalized my 1981 Popy set by getting the Harley Race card graded. I was just a couple weeks late on getting a registry award for having the Popy set at 100%. The 1981 Gong Dusty Rhodes may be viewed as a rookie to some as the other one is oversized and black and white. The Backlund is the first BBM card graded and I have some Hogans I plan to sub soon. The Ultimate Warrior card is from his "rookie" year card and of course the Cosmos Ric Flair cards should generate a lot of interest.

Great work on the Cosmos PSA 9. Great sub results.

Nice sub. Looking forward to seeing some scans. I don't think I have seen that warrior card before. Did you try contacting customer service to get the winner card labeled correctly before they shipped it. I would atleast try get it labeled as a winner card and maybe even try getting labeled as "cancelled winner" rather than the mk

I just saw the Andre MK hit the pop report this morning. What is the Sakaguchi #15 PSA 5 qualifier?

Did you sub all the Popy as well that show up on the pop report?

I sure did. I almost have a second set but need a few key cards to complete that one.

That is a winner card as well. If you need this one I could make it available for trade with a replacement coming my way. Qualifier is due to it being a canceled winner card.

Looks like some good results, thanks for sharing. After reading your threads, I actually did sub a wrestling card for the first time back in March, and as of today I have a total of one graded wrestling card, but it is Sumo:

NEAR MINT 7 1994 RITCHIE & CO. GLOBAL GREATS 22 YOKOZUNA MITSUGU-AKIMOTO SOUTH WALES

None higher or lower, South Wales is much tougher to come by than the similar Empire House.

I might be interested. You have a replacement or you need a replacement? I'll have to see if I have a cancelled winner in my collection already.

I would need a non-winner card replacement for it.

Yeah I have a couple of the 1973 Andres in a PSA 8 now so I am doing fine. I also have two complete sets of the 1973s annuals and just helped Doug complete his set.

Cool card. This looks exponentially better than the one that slabbed the entire box.

Congrats on the grade. That is an awesome pose of the Warrior.
  • wrestlingcardkingwrestlingcardking Posts: 4,555 ✭✭✭✭
The pose is great and so is the first line at the bottom of the card. Classic!
