Have Ebay sellers seen lower activity?

This is purely anecdotal, but I have a TON of high number 71 and 72s (baseball) at auction ending tonight with no action at all. I have lowered starting bids from 1.99 to .99 to see whether it changed anything, but hasn't. Seems very unusual. Wondering if it has direct correlation to Ebay requiring password resets.

Has anyone else had this same experience this week?

I had been averaging about 10-15 sales a week in the past month and a half, but the last 10 days have had 3 total. I kind of attributed it to the fact that May was a 5 weekend month and that many people who collect and buy things are on a fixed income and had to wait until the start of June for their monthly (fill in the blank) check came in

Lower activity here as well. Interesting, though, I hadn't considered the password reset as a problem, until now. Maybe there's a correlation?

I don't sell, but I buy a lot. I have not changed in my bidding habits. I think there will always be ups and downs with auctions. I think Feb through April a lot of people have fresh tax return money and so you may see some seasonal increases then and May/June is a return to normalcy. I also think Nov/Dec tend to be better for buyers and worse for sellers as people are saving for the holidays or are otherwise distracted by family obligations. While many are saving for National. I am saving for the buying opportunities in Nov/Dec. Just my opinion though.

I think it depends what is being sold. The market is still white hot for higher grade HOF rookies and star cards as well as vintage unopened product.

By the way I had snipes on 10 items tonight. I lost on all 10 and was the direct under bidder on 6 (so it's not like I just throwing lowball bids on items). So it appears at the least that the auctions I am bidding in are receiving healthy action.

This is the unfortunate fact of life. Nobody wants what we're selling and everybody wants what we're buying.

Depends whos buying what and when.

I bought a Thome 2003 Heritage Chrome today for $3 BIN.

Last sale was over $50. For that issue, thats Jeter numbers.

Several commons sold over $3 a piece today. Go figure.

It certainly feels that way a lot of the time, doesn't it?

I haven't been getting my saved searches sent to me on a consistent basis and it takes alot of time to check every one. So I give up searching for most until they get their act together.
