What cameras do you all use to photograph your coins?

I decided it's finally time to get a dedicated digital camera instead of making due with the rather decent iPhone camera, so I pulled the trigger this afternoon on a Canon Powershot SX50 HS and because I have and use Prime for $4 extra it will be here Monday. Pretty excited to see what it can do (I've been looking at pics taken with this camera on flickr)

Curious what you are all using image

I use a canon 4TI camera with a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM Lens.
I really need a good copy stand as these pics show. You can see a level
behind the ammo can. I check leveling at each shooting session. Also the
camera is teathered to both a laptop to remotely take the pics. and a HD
    monitor for finer focusing.

I keep the camera stationary stacked on books, pcgs plastic boxes etc. and
raise the platform for small coins and lower the platform for full slab.

    this is for small coins

    And this for full slab

While I admire your stacking skills the potential for a costly jenga like collapse of your camera setup suggests you go get a copystand right now.

My primary camera is a Canon Eos Rebel T3.

I also have a Canon S5is which I think is like a few generations old version of what you ordered. You will be very happy!

Canon T3i, Pentax dovetail rail auto-bellows, APO-Rodagon-D 75mm f/4 duplicating lens, IKEA Jansjo lamps, and a sturdy copy stand.

Of course photogenic coins also helps the formula...

I just bought a pair of IKEA Jansjo lamps a few weeks but I haven't had the time to try them out yet. The results I have seen so far on these boards are impressive!

Someday I will retire, and my first order of business will be photographing my collection. I look forward to it because even though the task may seem daunting, it will be a glorious way to enjoy the coins anew.
