S-270, rarity 1 – the only known dies for the date. Choice medium brown surfaces, with no extraneous marks or discolorations. A perfect choice for a date set for this conditionally challenging date. Though not indicated on the PCGS tag, this is the Benson collection coin which was sold by the Goldberg's in 2001. Prior to that is was ex Ira Reed circa 1944.
