Anybody collecting 2014 Topps baseball?

I've decided to complete this year's set, the only time I've tried to build an entire Topps set. I have 200+ of the Series I cards, need less than 100. Got LOTS of doubles and triples. Is anybody out there working on this besides me? If so, it might be fun to start a thread like the Heritage one. Let's see where this goes.

My two boys and I opened two hobby boxes and we had a few blasters that we opened as well. The boys were each able to build themselves a full Series 1 set and I have lots of dupes. I used to build sets all the time as a kid but in recent years have just picked up a factory set after Series 2 comes out. The "return" this year with the inserts was better than I've seen in years past. We got lucky on the hobby boxes and pulled a Billy Hamilton printing plate that we sold that almost covered both hobby boxes.

Cool! I should have been more specific that my ten year old and I are each working on completing series 1. It sounds like I probably don't have anything you need though, if you've already completed series 1.

Plan to buy a factory set in July to keep run going, so no help on dupes. Also bought a few packs to go with set and keep that run going. Since 2001 I have also added the Heritage sets

Thanks guys! Well since I need almost 100 cards and my son needs a good number too, we prob need most, frankly. Even a lot of the base ones we do have, we're open to red/blue/green/yellow/gold parallels if you have dupes. So what's the best way to do this? Should I post the long list?

I don't think I have too many dupes but I can look. Series 2 is due out June 11 and I am going to do what I did for that - buy a jumbo box. I was able to compile a full set, and then sold the inserts and parallels. Doing that I was able to cover about half if not slightly more than the cost of the box. This will be my first in-year complete set too.

Yeah - I was able to assemble a complete series 1 base set. I am not into parallels or inserts. I was able to sell most of the dupes on ebay to help subsidize the cost of the jumbo box. Let me find what dupes I have left and I will post them for you. Hopefully we'll find a match.

So with help from George I was able to complete the base set. I'd like to sprinkle it with a few of each color parallel substituted for their respective base cards. The only colors missing are yellow and Target red (I have several red foil). Does anybody have any yellow or Target red dupes they'd be willing to trade? Only want 1 or 2 of each.

Completed series 1 and almost completed series 2. There are 26 cards left that I need to complete the set. Would be looking for either base versions or maybe a couple of Target red parallels. Either version will do. I have at least 100 dupes to trade. If you're willing to trade/help, please PM me.

Edited to add: if you have most or all of the commons I need, I have an extra copy of the Abreu RC that I'm willing to trade.

I do, but I'm not that concerned with those. Just want to complete a base set. Although I do substitute color parallels where I have them. Makes my set more interesting.

Speaking of variations, I have the rare "sparkle" version of #435 Ryan Braun. I will trade it for a color variation (any color border) of the same card plus $20, delivered. Or I will sell it for $25. If anybody is interested, either master set collectors or Brewers fans, please let me know.

With help from a couple of board members, I'm closer to completing my base set and Super Veterans. I'm hoping somebody out there wants to trade.

I need the Beltran Super Veteran card and I need the following 13 Series 2 base cards:

417, 426, 435, 437, 441, 456, 489, 530, 535, 546, 603, 619, 626

I have a Jose Abreu RC and well over 100 more Series 2 dupes to trade, plus a blue bordered Austin Jackson and Future is Now inserts of Gausman and Bundy.

I don't have 2014 yet. I have Topps Complete Sets that are hand collated and put into albums from 2013 down to 1968 along with all Traded Sets. I will get 2014 at the end of the year when the Update set comes out.
