After many years of searching I've finally completed the Jim Brown Master Set! The final card was the '59 Bazooka and although I obtained a "horrible" example of it, I got it at a fair price and all but one of these cards has been graded authentic anyway, so it will do for now. The search will continue for a better one.
Unfortunately I can't celebrate being #1 on the list
Here is a picture of the master set...
Here is a picture of my extras regular issue cards...
Here are the rest of my extras, including a few raw ones...
Here is a closer look at my rookies... Notice the centering on the bottom row (especially the PSA 5 - PSA 8)
Lastly a look a my continuing quest for Jimmy cards... Besides the run of PSA 8 in my basic set, I'm shooting for a perfectly centered run of PSA 5s and additional runs of PSA 6s and PSA 7s!

Who cares about the number one spot. I'm sure you didn't start collecting to be number one . If youre anything like me, you started collecting out of a love for the hobby and or football. As long as you enjoy your set that's all that matters.
Good job!

BTW, how tuff is National City Bank?
Also, are his coke caps part of the set?
Kiss me twice.....let's party.

May I ask what type of Brown rookie do you have? I have a PSA 7.

<< <i>Nicely done, Scott! You are the first one to 100%, which is amazing considering the popularity of Jim Brown! That Bazooka is SUPER tuff. The only one graded is a "6", and today it would get graded "auth". I sent one in that had a lot more border than the 6 and looked way better and it came back "auth". I called and really complained...sent them a scan of the 6 to compare with mine and they said mine looked better, but nothing they could do....some of the older graded cards did not get graded with the same strictness re: borders...

Yea, I've noticed that about that 6 myself and many other hand cut cards that I've seen graded. Hick, I even have a few in my collection!
<< <i>Very nice and you made a nice choice, while his cards are rising I think they are still undervalued.

My highest graded one is an 8, but I have many others... too many probably!!!
When I post the pictures I'm going to try and get one with all my graded Jimmy cards (all grades and years) in one shot. With over 60 and counting it's going to be a challenge!
My father was on the Syracuse lacrosse team with Brown. He was such a spectacular natural talent that he rarely showed for practice.. but still managed to be All-American and make the Lacrosse Hall of Fame (that makes 3 HOFs for those keeping track at home).
I love the vintage oddball cards in the master set... it's a tough one to take on. Congrats on completing it! So what's next on the hobby to-do list for you?

Thanks for the accolades guys,

<< <i>Wow, I don't even have the words to describe how hard this blew my mind! TEN Brown RCs?? Are you freakin kidding me?? WOW. >>
It's a sickness, I know
That's a wonderful wall full of Jimmy Brown's. No wonder some of his cards are hard to find, you're
hoarding so many of them!! Just a really great collection you have there.
