Star Trek TOS Signed Photos

SDSportsFanSDSportsFan Posts: 5,142 ✭✭✭✭✭
Here are some of my photos I've collected over the years, many signed in person at Trek Conventions, and others bought online from Creation or other reputable dealers:

First off, no Star Trek autograph collection is complete without the Great Bird of the Galaxy himself (bought from RR Auctions):

Next up, his wife, Majel Barrett, in all three of her roles (first two obtained in person, the third (Lwaxana Troi) bought online):

    Hello image

Those are lovely! Barret was the last one I got - a 1968 typed interview signed and b/w SP. I am limited to items signed 1968-1975, so these are "modern" to me - but VERY awesome! RR auctions is a good venue. I have sold through them and they are class act. B.E. is a very cool and knowledgeable guy.

    Thank you!
    Eric

Here is to hoping you bought your Roddenberry in Dec 2010 and not Dec 2012! image

    Hello image

Very nice but I find the first Nimoy and the Mirror, Mirror Nimoy/Shatner very problematic image Both from TM and both Nimoy's appear by the same hand but from these scans I don't think it is Leonard's.

    Thanks for posting!

    Best wishes,
    Eric

Beautiful stuff! You see my concerns over the two items from TM. The rest appear quite nice image

    Thank you very much Eric.

I'll definitely do some checking on those two photos.

The single Nimoy is misspelled. That is not Shatner - the signature here has a reverse slant. On the bright side, you still have one of each signer that are genuine IMO. I have many exemplars from C. 1960-2000+, even a 1947 Kelley. Feel free to PM image And thanks for posting such a nice and rounded collection!

WHERE IS THE GOOD DR.? I have one you might like image

That's a beautiful Spock and McCoy you just added! Beautiful ALL. image
Edit - The first lone Spock - it resembles some of his 1990's and so on, and also strongly resembles many of the forgeries...how else would one account for the incredible number of letters in "Leonard" - I see half again what should be there (about 7 instead of 5 after the "L")? Also, the slant is off and the baseline "jumbled" - his baseline in "Leonard" is usually quite straight as far as I have seen. And Nimoy's letters start laying down to the right as the name goes on staring in "Leonard" and increasingly as it goes on...I don't really see that here. The "N" usually bends at the top/crossover to the "y", or is neutral, yours is "bending" from the opposite direction.
I will state my strength is vintage Trek signatures.

PS - Best thread we have seen here from a "new" guy (it's just perhaps 2-3 of us posting I think) in a long time!image
