Why did this 1973 Vida Blue PSA 10 sell for $400.00 ?

    That is O-Pee-Chee instead of Topps.....different company.

    Even a Topps Vida Blue in a '10' should be around a $300 card.

    It's a PSA 10.....anything goes.

    Vida Blue was a star: Cy Young, MVP, 6 time all star, 200 wins. He was about as good as any pitcher in the early to mid-70s. His A's cards sell fairly well compared to other non-HOF stars of that era, mainly because there are a decent amount of 70s A's collectors.

    It's a strong price no doubt, but somebody wanted it badly apparently. If he sent it to auction it probably doesn't fetch that much.
