Toning by Nature

Saw this hematite at last months Nature and Science auction at Heritage, lot # 52001. It was found in an ore mine in Italy around 1790. I thought it had the same colors as some of the coins we display.

    Lot 52001 - 52001 is the zip of Dubuque Iowa, home of John R. Reilly, who had his hand on a switch that could cut off MLK's I Have a Dream speech at...the Lincoln Memorial. Yes, I am that bored.
