After seeing the massive hit posted from the Gem Mint 1957 Topps it got me thinking what were some of the best percentage gainers I have ever had. Not necessarily the most increase in dollars but the rate of return on the raw card itself. I have to think that card may be the most explosive rate of return ever posted on this board or at least in the time I have been here. Perhaps the card fits both criteria too.
What is so great about the card grading game is the ability to overnight with a small additional investment cause the value to literally sky rocket.
Here are a handful of mine.
These two were from my first submission to PSA in 2010. It came from a sealed set and I paid $400 for the set so the breakdown per card is $11.11 a card. If someone wanted to get technical you would put more weighting on a few others in the set so it would be even lower. Both are still Pop 1's to this day.
I am not exactly certain which set this came from but it was when I was buying the raw sets for under $100 putting the raw cost in the $3 range. So far this is the only PSA 9 with no 10's. I love the pic used for this card and I believe it is from 1976.
I purchased a bunch of OPC sets looking for high grade examples and hit the first 10 of the Randy Savage and Elizabeth card. The lot was just over $3.00 and came with 24 cards so the per card cost was just over $0.12 cents a card.
Let's see some monsters!!!!

They call me "Pack the Ripper"
<< <i>I bought this raw for probably $100, so not dirt cheap. I'm not sure what it's worth but I would guestimate $1000-1200.
