I had to pair down the "accumulation" radically for this one...
Being on the lighter side, it's a bit of a departure from my usually darker toned dollars, but I really like the look in hand...
Frosty areas in the crannies, and a light greydirt tone with quite a bit of luster !

I paired down so much in fact, that I should have a sister for her in hand in a week or so...image

    That's right Ankur, just right for my 45 set...image
    I might try for reconsideration some day though, these pics show off it's "rustic" side. In hand it looks more like an AU, probably held back
    some for adjustment marks, carbon spots or weakness here and there. I definately like it as a 45 !

    Well...unfortunately it's printed on the label, so I've been robbed of the pleasure of looking it up image
    But I will point out that Coinfacts has it in the top 3 condition census for the variety (B-6 BB-25)

    Wonderful coin. All things being equal, adjustment marks really should not negatively impact the grade for this coin. I am not so sure 45 is the best opinion for this example.

    Are you feeling better than 45 or worse ?
    My observations on the coin in hand are these....

    1. This image is a bit glamorous.

    2. The coin is actually lighter with a bit of a goldish tone, carefully dipped but not stripped...an expert grader would take a careful look at
    the spot on the obverse , to me it looks fine.

    3. Overall, the luster is more complete than these images suggest, but it is a tad less "original" looking as well.


    Seems like a technical 50 that's being market graded 45.
    I'd like to see a XF48 grade come into use ...image like 58, for coins with more circulation !

    And yes, Okiedude was indeed a key player in this acquisition ! image

    Too bad this wasn't a teachable moment for attribution.

    As for the grade, I like it better as a 45 than as a 50. I forget why I thought that way, but that was the grade that jumped out at me when I first saw it.

    One thing I will say is that PCGS will not grade based on the attribution. I forget the strike characteristics of BB-25, but I know that if this were BB-27, then this would be an average EF45 coin based on the strike characteristics.

    Edited to add: for extra credit, look up the strike characteristics of BB-25. image

    I was thinking 50- in part because of the mature steel gray look- even if it may not be original. I suppose if the coin is lighter then the spots may play enough of a factor in terms of limitations- 50 may be too optimistic given your comments. I would not be below 45 unless the coin in hand is really worse...
