Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

    Nice! A very fun article.

Dave is a terrific writer besides being a great guy and dealer with a keen eye.

<< <i>What was absent from this crowd were most of the “big name” dealers – many of whom cannot tell a good coin from a “trap coin” (to use a coin insiders' term) unless it is housed in a PCGS holder and displays a CAC sticker on the front. You would be shocked how many of the biggest dealers in the coin business fall into that category these days. >>

I can relate to that story since I once rode in an elevator in Taiwan with Kate Moss.

I'm sure that was an uplifting moment. But hours seated next to Michael Irvin? Very cool of Dave to give him space.

    "Uplifting" moment? Ouch!

I once saw Dr. Kissinger inside the global HQ of Chase (before merging with JPM). This was 20 years ago. He had an office inside Chase. Not sure why.

I also ran into Mariel Hemingway walking along Central Park South. As she was walking towards me, before I recognized her, I thought "OMG, that is a very beautiful woman". This was also around 20 years ago.

I've also ridden in elevators, on separate occasions, with Jon Corzine and Hank Paulson. Meh - they don't seem like such a big deal to me. image
