Last month, the Charlotte Knights (AAA) baseball club opened their new downtown stadium as well as one weekend bringing in as many former Charlotte O's players as they could round up who played at old Crockett Park (which burned to the ground in 1985).
Among the many attendees were Mark Corey, John Flinn & Sammy Stewart who appeared as "Top Prospects" on card #701 in the 1979 set.
A friend of mine had the foresight to photograph them as a group in the order they appeared on that card.

WOW ... copied this from the Internet:
Stewart was sentenced in October 2006 to 80 to 105 months in the Buncombe Correctional Center on drug possession charges after accepting a plea bargain as a habitual felon. He was released in January 2013.He has been charged 46 times with more than 60 offenses since 1988, and has spent 7+ years in prison over six separate stints. He has admitted to being a "crack addict."

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
<< <i>Did the three players grasp the significance of the shoot? >>
yes, they did

Now, I'm picturing Geordi on the phone to Steve Bedrosian and Larry Owen.
