PSA Submission Results -- Holy POP 1 from 1957 Topps! (Picture added)

Threw a sub together for the March special. The 1956's are all from a partial set that I bought on eBay awhile back and not too many surprises there. I thought that the Williams was a 5, but I might have missed something. The 1957's were some stragglers from a collection that I bought a couple of years ago.

The obvious winner of this sub is the 1957 Topps Willie Miranda. That's a POP 1, baby!! Don't see too many PSA 10s from the 1950's.

  • Big congrats on that one. What's interesting about your sub is that every other card besides the 10 doesn't reach above 8. The 10 kind
of stands out like Goliath did.

Wow, that is amazing! What is market value for a pop 1 10 in that set?

  • Congrats! Is that a submission strategy? NM or less cards with one that is a 10?

I checked the VCP on several PSA 10's with comparable submissions and over the last couple of years, the prices range in the 2500+ up to 5000+ for commons. So, yeah, Holy POPimage

Wow way to go... A pop 1 #216 Marv Grissom sold last year at auction for $4,500 so I bet you in that area.image

Don't think that went unnoticed by me. I really felt that the Miranda was the best of the 57's, but I didn't think it was two grades better than the Kuenn and the Moon. They are really sharp cards as well.

Please post a scan of the card when you get it back. We don't get to see too many 10s from that era, especially ones submitted by us mere mortals on the forums.

It's a right for you to post your Miranda. Congrats and can't wait to see it. Doug

Amazing. That might be the single most impressive sub result I've ever seen on these boards. Congratulations.

OK, why is that guy throwing side arm? That's going to get him nowhere. Absolutely gorgeous card, congrats!
