US Mint Coin Covers Question

I recently received the P49 - Warren Harding coin cover, however, it differed in how it was packaged... this item was encased in a cardboard package which looked completely unlike all prior covers - it was approximately 9" X 6". More to the point, today I received P50, (Calvin Coolidge) which was packaged as all prior CC's were - measuring roughly 10" X 5".

Wondered if anyone knew of this blip, as the reps at the Mint say they "heard something" about this one-time modification, but could not give me a definitive answer...
