I'm only really interested in the golfers, and it's a bit pricey for those. Looks to be a lot of boxing and some tennis/misc. as well, but I have no idea on the value of them. Looks to be mostly mid-grade.

<< <i>IMO it's a bit pricey for all of them. The tennis is primarily Churchmans, which are widely available, and there's not much of a US market for the cricket/soccer/horse racing cards.

Agreed
The big name boxers in the lot are from the mass-produced easily accessible 1938 Churchmans, which are way over priced in this case. One of the Dempsey cards there looks possibly ok but the photo is probably deceiving; most often what you find with the 1938 Churchmans is that if they look really nice in the photos with sharp corners, clean edges, no staining, etc., then when you get them in hand you find the reason they weren't beat up is that they were put in an album, not glued down but inserted into the photocorner holds, which leave indentation on each corner. The ones from the 1923 Rocket set are not in all that impressive a condition. There looks to be a good amount of miscutting in the lot, especially on some of the 1923 Bursteins. It is likely there is some back damage on the Boxing News cards. The black border ones are re-colored (very common problem) according to the description. Also, this seller has plenty of mid-grade 4's and 5's in their boxing catalog of items for sale outside the lot, so the ones here are not up to that standard (4 grade). Bottom line, stay away unless the price drops considerably.
