A highly unpleasant situation has arisen and a friend (or so I thought ) is
unable to fulfill his promise of paying me back for putting up the funds to
pay for his purchases. I should have realized that if Heritage had cut him
off, he might not be that secure a risk.
I bid for him at the amounts he wanted ( using my paddle number ) and
the coins were bid at his figures and when I won all the lots he wanted, I
told him to take his time in paying me back - and that 60 days was perfectly
ok to pay me back. He needed to sell something before he could pay me back.
Well, two Great Collection auctions later, and he sells over $5K in coins and I am still waiting for renumeration.
He has until June 1st to pay me in full the $3,950 I sent Heritage in his behalf. I have possession
of these Mercury Dimes. The last auction was seven weeks ago. I know he's been paid by GC.
A month ago, he promised to send me a large check by the end of that week.
Nothing was received. Emails and texts and PM's are ignored.
No names mentioned - until June 1, 2014. After that I will make sure he won't ever
pull that stunt again with another Forum Member. I am sure he'll be reading this and
I hope he realizes what a crummy thing he has done. In my hand by June First !!!
There are four PCGS MS 67 FB Mercury Dimes from the January Heritage FUN auction.
Only varieties... Unattributed .... I am led to believe that these are all POP TOPS if they
become attributed.
Images / Links to auction to follow.
I am very deeply saddened that it has come to this.
I have resisted doing this for some time, believing he
would make good on his promises. His promises have
fallen flat so far.
I just have no other recourse.

( which he did, and the cashiers check has been received and deposited ) and he said an additional
$1000 would be sent by the end of the week ( June 6-7 ) .
Tuesday, June 3rd voice mail.... I won't be able to pay you anything this week as I promised, as no one
is paying me, so, I can't pay you.
Text back: Don't care how you do it, I need $2000 in my hands by
June 15th. The balance of $800 paid by 7/1.
I will not out him if he realizes this is not a game. I have financial obligations
as well, I loaned him the funds against my better judgement.
I hope he is reading this. His $1100 payment is going towards the total due me,
and I may just auction (his/ my ) coins off at Great Collections. If they sell at a
loss,,at least I have this buffer.
