What looks like a possible 8.5 candidate really exploded last night on ebay. Usually the great 8s can hit the high $3000s, so 6k is wholly new and noteworthy territory.

Both top corners and right side chipping def. keep this from bumping.

Centering is great but corners and chipping kill this for me.

Good luck to the buyer but I feel the price is WAY TOO HIGH!

If the buyer is happy and can afford the card, it's all good. I definitely would not kick that card out of bed-- or my collector focus gallery, LOL. I will say finding a much better 8 than that specimen is no easy task.

I always thought the spread betweens 9s (10k) and 8s (3k-3500) on this card was pretty wide; so actually, on further thought, not really surprised to see a high-end 8 sell for closer to half of what the 9s sell for.

centering centering centering is to cards as real estate is to location location location. centered vintage cards are almost impossible to find in any grade let alone a 8 that mantle is as close to perfect as centering as u gonna get
