I thought this very interesting piece from the BBC might be of interest to the members.

I love reading about about these hoards and imagining the circumstances that could prompt someone long ago to bury a treasury.

Like Lord M and many other collectors on this forumn I have several metal detectors and could only dream of finding some horde like this.

That would be a dream to find, but I wouldnt wanna work on cleaning that big lump.

I prefer buying already cleaned
