Cutting out 1961 Fleer Wallet Pictures - any advice?

I've only hand-cut cheap Topps box bottom cards and 1978 SSPC (f/k/a TCMA) All Star Gallery cards (not for grading) . For the Topps cards I used scissors, and for the SSPC cards I used a paper cutter. They both have obvious lines to cut along--SSPC are dotted lines, while Topps just has the obvious border.
I just picked up a 1961-62 Complete Sports Pro Football magazine, which is the magazine that contains the entire 1961 Fleer Wallet Pictures set. They are on each page in a 3x3 formation. I'd like to cut them for possible grading (if I don't screw up the cutting process, that is). The cards are mostly on thin newsprint-like paper, and the dotted lines on the back, I notice, don't provide good guidance. What I mean is that if you sliced along those lines, the fronts would be massively off-center. Has anyone ever cut out this set before that can provide me with advice? Should I use a paper cutter? Any hints as to how to make sure I center the cards? Since the cards don't go to the edge, maybe I should draw my own cut-lines at the edges of the paper?
And if I miscut one column slightly, is it better to have a column of 3 slightly smaller cards (e.g., 1/8") and cut the next column right? Or is it better to have each column slightly off center? Thanks for any advice. This is making me nervous! (I guess I can have them professionally cut, but I wouldn't even know where to go for that.)
