    Ebay of course can do as they please, and they often d,o as in the linked example.

    Problem is, many folks left other jobs or businesses a decade or so ago for the promised opportunity of earning a living selling goods on the site.

    I know half a dozen folks who did that. I was one.

    The promise was fleeting. of the 6 others that did it, I am the last standing on Ebay and it is by a thread. The rules change at a dizzying rate. I do not believe that Ebay understands that margins in most categories are razor thin and the constant riptide of fee changes is extremely disruptive.

    Fortunately I can afford for this to be a sideline as I have been prudent with my spending over the years.

    Just another lesson in capitalism (or what remains of it) I suppose.
