What's the best way to separate a perforated card from a sheet?

I have a Largent that I want to get graded. Do you just fold it over a couple of times then just tear it out, or maybe score it with knife then tear it out? Does a cleaner edge grade out better? Thanks

Make sure you gently bend it in both directions. Once you have simply tear apart. You need the perforations to be there.
If you only bend it one direction you can end up with paper loss and that will result in a very low grade. There are a few threads on the 1994 Bumble Bee set and the 1996 SI for Kids that might be of help.
Good luck and go slow.
Carefully bend back and forth several times and gently tear the card(s) apart. Make sure you do not bend (crease) the card in question as you are working on it.
PSA can be somewhat inconsistent when grading these, but I have gotten "evid of trim" on some items that I "scored" and then ripped apart as the perforations were too straight.
Good luck!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
