Kruk Cards

Hi guys, wanted to share my experience and see what you think. I bought a 1990 Topps Jumbo Case off of ebay. Paypal the same day, two weeks later, nothing. I contacted them and they said someone was supposed to get in touch with me, the item is out of stock can we offer you something else. Out of stock? why are they selling things on ebay they don't have? Has this happened to anyone else, what did you do? Negative feedback? Thanks for your thoughts.

  • I've always had good experiences with them.

They're a high volume seller. Probably not malice, just an error. If their customer service is respectful when communicating with you and discussing your options, I would chalk it up as a mistake and move on.

I avoid them like the plague.

Back in the 90s my brother bought a Donruss Rookie set from them (the year that Bagwell was in it). Looking through it the Bagwell was missing. When he called them about it, they accused him a taking the Bagwell out - which by the way they had the single card from that set on sale for $1. Yep, one freaking dollar. They lost two customers for life because they accused my brother (unjustly) of trying to cheat them out of a $1.

I'm looking forward to this thread. It should generate some great stories!

Of course everyones experiences are different, but I used to get alot of stuff from them (not within the last 4 months) and never had an issue. In fact, whenever I buy unopened stuff from them I get awesome cards. Only twice I had an issue. I bought a 84 opc box and the gum ruined half the cards in each pack (full refund) and then I bought 5 1989 Score Young Superstars factory sets and Griffey Jr was missing in one of them, he refunded me for that set instantly.

Only ever had one problem and it was the wrong order. Paid for shipping back to them and replaced instantly without problem. I personally never hesitate to buy from them

I have never had a problem with the material they sell, but the last order I got from them had an extra item in it (An Al Leiter Jersey), which I did not want, I returned it and they gave me a $25 credit on my next order. Seems like they are a little unorganized.
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY
  • They haven't offered me anything yet. It kind of sucks because I've been looking for that case for a while, I know its no big deal but I like junk wax once in a while and 1990 topps is one of my favorites. Anyone have one for sale, sealed case.

I never had a problem with them. Maybe they will give you something else you want in return even if it's a few bucks more?

There have been a LOT of Kruk threads deleted over the years.

  • As a seller on eBay, selling something that you don't have in stock is something that happens from time to time. Most of the time you find out when it sells and rarely before then. It does suck as a buyer, especially when dealing with collectibles. It is not like they can get more in stock.

Kruk cards usually has what they sell, but their description and quality control is pretty terrible, in my opinion.

I know exactly what case you are referring to. I was watching it on ebay when it was auctioned and then was surprised to see shortly after it ended that they created a listing with a qty. of 10 with BINs. It seemed off since I, like you, had been looking for that case for quite some time and never even seen a photo of one, let alone 10+ for sale. My guess is that they screwed the inventory up and didn't have as many as they thought. It sucks, especially when it's something you've been looking for for a while, but I imagine it happens from time to time with the big sellers.

I had a small issue where on a large (bulky) order with about 15 items (mainly smaller boxed sets and a few unopened cheap oddball boxes), i didn't receive two small sets. They told me one was out of stock, but they had the other. before I could request a refund on the one set, they told me they found more. They ended up sending the two sets and made good. I have had no other unusual experiences with them, although I have probably only bought items a few times via ebay.
I collect Steve Garvey, Dodgers and signed cards. Collector since 1978.
  • Update, I think the situation has been resolved? Originally, they told me they didn't have the case, when I asked for alternative items as they suggested, they responded with this. "I'm pretty sure the case has been sent, our guy has been out sick for a few days but is back to work now" O.K. pretty sure and two different reasons it wasn't shipped, If I get the case I'll let you know.

My apologies, the (never had an issue) was meant to be deleted before reply.
