buying a mislabeled card psa holder

If you buy a card that is psa graded but the holder is mislabeled what would they need to do to get it corrected?

Get the card back under a "mechanical error" form.....

Before you buy it you might want to check if the PSA guarantee would be honored on a mislabeled slabbed card, especially if it's an expensive one.

Imagine paying up for something and then finding a problem (other than the mislabeling).

Whether you submit the card for grading or buy it already graded, PSA will correct the error at no charge.

Do any of you know how PSA handles a mislabeled card that was purchased as part of a complete set? The card was labeled as a rarer variation, but was actually the more common version. Getting the flip corrected doesn't really help the fact that I'm out a bit of cash (seller was major AH, and they couldn't care less).

Call or email Joe and explain your situation. I'm sure he will take care of you.

I had this situation recently (mine just wasn't labelled correctly and needed updated)

If you drop them an email, they'll explain it all but basically you send it in (you'll have to pay the shipping), I think they'll also offer to send you a free card grade due to the fact that you're out the shipping to send it back in

Sounds pretty smooth, and they want the cards labelled correctly

I'll do that. Doesn't matter to me about the free card grade and I doubt I'd get it because I'm not a club member, no biggie. What is the typical turnaround time for these?

If they will be grading at a show near you, you can bring it in.
Turnaround time is generally within 2-3 weeks (sometimes less).
