Stoked To Own This One!!!

Well I did it again. Last week I forged a new friendship with an eBay seller that lives local to me. I bought a 55 Clemente PSA 4. When I purchased it we talked about some other cards he had that I was interested in. Those discussions continued into the weekend and I met with him again today and this time took down 4 cards. Three of them were part of Rounds 9&10 of my What's a Grand Getcha Game and will thus be detailed in that thread at the end of the week when the last card arrives from another seller. But for now I will go ahead and show you the reward I bought for myself. This, for me, is THE card. I know it's not his rookie, which I did consider, but it was never the 51B that I wanted, despite it being an awesome card. It's always been the 52T and I'm pretty ecstatic about owning this card in this grade. It's also the best "trade" I ever made, as I sold off 20 shares of MasterCard that I bought for roughly $10 each to finance this card.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Congrats, Jim and I don't blame you one bit going for the 52T over 51B. Both are nice looking cards, but if 51B wasn't his rookie card, how many people would pick it over the classic 52T?

You've amassed a great collection in such a short time... I look forward to your future pick ups, as always!

Love that card and love that half grade. That means one or more graders gave it a 6 so it looks like it should go in for a bump.

Sweet card! Always liked the purple background on the card, and the expression on Mays' face shows the fire burning inside, the same fire that propelled him into being one of the best players ever to play the game.
