Small Poppage - one nicer hit. Scans Added

Kind of an odds and ends sub; a couple of Kaline's from a raw ebay lot, a dead-centered 67 Yaz that must have a wrinkle, a bunch of crack and resubs from 73 topps (better but still not what I thought), a couple of nice 76's from an ebay raw set, a raw ebay Murray RC ($20), and my usual failed attempt at grading deckles...

The Clementes were 6's.

Nice hit on the Kaline! You got the Clemente's to bump from 6 to 8??? My recent crack and resub didn't go so well. Four of the 8's I resubmitted were rejected for EVID TRIM and MIN SIZE. Go figure?!

Good job my friend. Those 73s are a pain as the quality control was as bad as it gets.

Wow those are some nicely centered cards. Wonder why the Rose is a 7?

Haha - maybe... but all of the 73's have already been cracked out once...

Hard to believe they were all 6's last time.

Can someone explain what is wrong with those Clementes that that they are only 8s and even graded 6s at first??

    Beautiful cards!

Grader of death has returned. Generally speaking, they're grading much, much, much more strictly than they historically have. I'm not sending in any more 70s commons until things loosen up again. It's frustrating because the 9s that are floating around on eBay are often weaker than the cards that are struggling to get even 8s today.
  • The Clemente on the right is a gorgeous card and that was an awesome Kaline lot that produced those cards!

I sure hope I don't get that grader as my current sub has a bunch of late 70's cards I am hoping grade at least 9's, with a few 10's from some of the 1978 cards.

Those are all very nicely centered. Kudos for having the stomach to brave the wilds that is eBay raw. That 68 Kaline is a particular beauty.

My 2 cents on the Rose is that the black frame on the left looks a little faded in addition to that corner.
