I had an epiphany for a new unopened thread...

...when this gem arrived yesterday. The moment I unearthed it, I instantly knew it was one of (if not the) most pristine boxes I own. I wouldn't necessarily say SGC 100, but it's definitely in the PSA 10 conversation. And that's what I'd like to see in this thread: the crème de la crème from your collection. I couldn't care less if it's worth $5, $50, $500 or $5,000; just indulge us all with an unopened specimen that looks like it was churned out this year.

I'm tired of looking at my box already, quite frankly, so unveil yours. Chop-chop! image

The gentleman I purchased this from had a case. It's a beauty. The top pack - bottom right, has a Bird/Magic on the back.

Super clean, awesome! Congrats!! I am jealous!!

I have 2 case-fresh boxes that are the most "minty" looking ones in my collection.
Both are from group breaks here.

I saw that same box on ebay. It's a little high on the price, and I'm not sure that shrink wrap is courtesy if BBCE. The same seller has some boxes with shrink wrap, with no biz cards or BBCE stickers. The seller also mentions (in the description) guaranteeing BBCE authentication if the item is sent to BBCE, which leads me to believe they have not confirmed the box yet.

Wow. Those boxes are all outstanding. Great idea for a thread Galaxy.

I've gotten a few 1978 Topps CE3K boxes from Steve that are real nice but none on the level of the stuff you guys are posting. Those boxes are pristine.

Second the cool idea for this thread...not technically a wax tray box, but a one-year hybrid~the 1980 Topps baseball wax rack box.

I don't have any photos of my current unopened collection but I did come across some photos I have from 2009. This was all purchased from BBCE and subsequently ripped. I have nothing to show for it other than these pictures. These photos are what allow me to now have an unopened collection and never get the urge to rip.

    ergoism,
That makes for one epic rip. How many Jordans did you pull from the 86 Fleer box?
What are the highlights of your current unopened collection?

It was the standard 3-4, I don't really remember. The best one later graded 8.5.
Highlights now include a few 86-87 Fleer basketball boxes and 60, 62, and 68 Topps baseball wax boxes. They're locked away far from where I am currently or else I'd share some pictures.

I love this stuff. Keep the pictures coming.

Nice to see the gum in the trash. Not that anyone would ever chew it or sell it on eBay.

Some great boxes you have there, Evan. Those 62 and 68 boxes sound spectacular.

Nice Evan even though that is painful to look at. image
  • As much fun as you had opening all those boxes a few years back, do you regret opening them? Or was the fun of ripping them worth more then $. Not bashing just curious. I would love to have the dilemma of owing a bunch of boxes like that!
I collect vintage PSA graded SF Giants, Willie Mays, McCovey, Cepeda, Marichal and Perry. And modern players like Buster Posey, Will Clark and Barry Bonds.
