PSA Reholder Question

If I submit cards to be reholdered, will PSA ever return any of them with lower grades? If so, under what circumstances may this occur? Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, this will only happen if it's an egregious misgrade, and PSA will compensate you.

Thanks Collector. I have a stack of cards that I want to send in to be reholdered in the new holder. I noticed that a couple of them have minor flaws. Mostly issues concerning centering and spots. I just don't want any surprises when they are returned to me.

I just had a 1964 Topps Jim Mudcat Grant in for a reholder---they changed it from an 8 to a 7. I need to follow up on the reimbursement for the SMR differential.

Did they explain why they changed the grade from an 8 to a 7?
