CC Renewal Review Poppage

Had a 6 card voucher that I figured could be best used reviewing some of my nicer graded cards that I still have left

Although reviewing cards have not brought me much success at all, these cards I felt were very strong and I did not feel like cracking them

NEAR MINT-MINT 8 1965 TOPPS 477 CARDINALS ROOKIES F.ACKLEY/S.CARLTON
NEAR MINT 7 1967 TOPPS 150 MICKEY MANTLE
MINT 9 1968 TOPPS 123 TIM HORTON
MINT 9 1969 TOPPS 50 BOB CLEMENTE
NEAR MINT-MINT+ 8.5 1976 TOPPS 148 WALTER PAYTON
NEAR MINT-MINT 8 1979 TOPPS 18 WAYNE GRETZKY

Horton bumped from 8.5 to 9, I knew I got robbed the first time around. Last time I saw a 9 sell it was for some good coin! image

Clemente went from 8 to 9!! I bought this card raw at my LCS, again straight robbery on an 8 grade. Very glad it made it into the correct slab image

And lastly, Payton RC bumped from 8 to 8.5. Graded a couple of these years ago from a wax box I busted ( I know, what an idiot for rippin' wax!)

both came back straight 8's. I always felt they were both really sharp, and this one had just a better tick of centering T/B so I sent it in, woohoo

20 days to pop on 7 day turnaround, logged on the 5th of April. I was about to email them too, just to see if there was a problem. But I didn't want to jinx it

Glad I didn't image Here's to the start of a great weekend! Now if the Bruins can just get that win tomorrow, all will be fine again in the world....... image

    Nice results!

I have a CC renewal, 15 card crossover logged April 16th, and I'm checking the order often. I was hoping for the estimated 10 business days, but it looks like I might be waiting longer than expected. Oh well, here's image to good results

Wow! That is the most successful review sub I've ever seen. My last review sub went 1 for 15.

    Congrats.

Thanks guys, and hey Dougyboy! Just been floating about, in/out

Been a passenger on the unopened craze the past few years like most

Things have really died down with my HOF signed RC's. And have been

bombarding Steve from BBCE with unopened product as much as I can

I did just pop a little Red Flip from March special, that I just got back 1.000

Maybe they have loosened the reins on their reviews? I know my track record for sending in crossovers/reviews has been abysmal to say the least. I would like to THINK I have a good eye with looking at undergraded gems.

This. My thoughts exactly as I have seen some really great bumps here on this board

with some serious cardboard. Figured I would test the waters as I am normally a crackout man

I may put together a Super/Express service review with a few higher dollar cards and see what happens

I find myself holding onto a lot of cards that I believe are undergraded, might be time to realize why image

I don't believe the reins "have been loosened," in my experience. Rather, it is often difficult to objectively evaluate your own cards.

Of course the cards speak for themselves

Its not always one and done
