I am thinking on buying this . It appears to be a poster flyer for Andre the Giant's debut for the WWWF .
I just want to know what a fair value would be

He's credited with an appearance on Oct 24, 1972 but I question the accuracy of that one.
He appeared in Philadelphia on a WWWF card on 3/24/73, two days prior to the date on your flyer.

In his biography it states On March 26, 1973, André debuted in the World Wide Wrestling Federation (later World Wrestling Federation) as a fan favorite, defeating Buddy Wolfe in New York's Madison Square Garden.[1][11][20]
Its stated he wrestled with AWA in 1972
<< <i>Depending on the cost, I would try to find a way to verify authenticity. the photos on the item are well known, almost ” stock” photos of Andre. I would try to make sure that the photos do not post-date the item, at least. I am familiar with the images, but would have guessed they were of a slightly later vintage. But it is a great item, and if it checks out, is probably relatively valuable.

Yes those images I believe were from Montreal . Before he came to America
1973 (Aug 12) - Dimanche Derniere Heure Grand Prix (Canada) - Jean Ferre - France (AKA Andre the Giant)

The quote you just gave me is from Wikipedia. And one of the footnotes it references is to the very site I linked to.
I am confident that my information, with Andre debuting prior to the 3/26, is correct.

Everything I read states that he debuted for WWWF at Madison Square Garden in 1973
incluing on his biography.com page
Andre the Giant was born on May 19, 1946, in Grenoble, France. He suffered from acromegaly, or "giantism." He wrestled in Montreal as Jean Ferre, in Japan as "Monster Roussimoff," and in 1973, debuted at Madison Square Garden as "Andre the Giant." He became one of the most popular wrestlers in the WWF (now the WWE) and acted in Rob Reiner's 1987 film, The Princess Bride. Andre died in 1993.

and on his official website andrethegiant.com his bio states
By the time Andre had performed in front of 20,000 wrestling fans in Montreal, his legend had reached Vince McMahon, Sr. at the World Wide Wrestling Federation's (WWWF) headquarters. McMahon would forever alter Andre's life. In 1972, McMahon signed Andre to wrestle for the WWWF and changed his name to capitalize on his colossal size. "Andre the Giant" became one of the most recognizable names in wrestling. Andre performed under his new name at Madison Square Garden, where he easily defeated his opponent Buddy Wolfe without breaking a sweat. Before long, Andre's venues were sold out and wrestlers lined up to perform in his shadow. As Andre's fame grew to stardom, he was featured in Sports Illustrated in the largest feature they had ever published.
Im not sure then , I think he would not even had wrestled under the name of Andre the Giant before then and in 1972 that should have been under Gene.
There are some pieces from his time in Canada that sell for a little more.

<< <i>I would put the value at much higher than those estimates, if it is legitimate. I would pay $75 for it, believing it may be worth more. >>
I tend to agree. I think him appearing for the first time as Andre the Giant would give it a lot more demand than his appearances as Jean in Montreal. That and scarcity of such items . I have not seen to many for debut now only if it was signed lol
<< <i>Cool item. This thread got me curious about Andre so I googled his name. I knew he had died but was surprised to see that it was in 1993. I thought it was later than that.

I wonder why all his biographies and everything states his debut was on the 26th ? maybe they do not count tag teams ?
even is WWE bio says 1973
After making an impact in Japan and Canada, the 27-year-old giant was taken under the wing of Vincent McMahon Sr. in 1973. Andre spent the next 20 years with WWE, even going so far as to turn down a contract from the NFL’s Washington Redskins in order to remain with the promotion.
