PSA resubmit question

I have 2 very nice old PSA number vintage PSA 8's that I believe are worthy for a .5 bump...I am not interested in cracking them out of their case...will PSA regrade but not give a grade less than 8 or is that just for crossovers? Will they put it in a new case with new serial number if the grade remains 8? I also have some newer PSA numbered vintage 6's and 7's that may be worthy of another shot...those probably should be cracked out as I can't see them in any case doing worse...anyone that has real experience or in the know would be great!!!

Just put 8 as the minimum grade on the submission form. If you want them reholdered, put a Post-it note on the holder requesting a reholdering. They'll put it in a new holder with the current style flip but they will retain the original cert number. As far as I know, the only way you can get a new cert number is to crack and resub. Even if the card bumps, it will retain the existing cert number. The database will just be updated to reflect the new grade.

    Good luck!

Very interesting Gemint...thx so much for the information. I didn't realize that. I subbed 50 a few weeks ago but have been sitting on some real nice psa's that should be reconsidered. If the grade bumps won't they have to put a new cert number on it or keep the cert number but change the grade?

I suppose you answered my last question...just not sure it makes the most sense to me...if it was me, I would retire the old cert number.
