So this is how the other half lives. Awesome to be on the same footing as Colonel Jessup. Maybe I'll bump into him at one of the Expert Collector meetings.
I even freshened up my avatar for the occasion. (same coin)
Can't thank everyone enough for making these boards so entertaining and educational.
I've been on the receiving end of some cool giveaways so it's my turn to return the favor, albeit in a small way.
I've also had some nice PM's.
One that sticks out was from Mark, who had some reassuring kind words for me when I was feeling sorry for myself as I delivered my first son off to college.
Here are my winnings.
I won this great copystand, that I still use, from messydesk:
I won this awesome cert., signed by the Mint Director, from pontiacinf:
The one that was over-the-top and actually humbled me was this coin from mike92694. It's one I could never afford to buy and so pleased to have.:
Simply post to this thread to enter and I'll use one of those random number generators to pick a winner.
I'll pick the winner sometime Saturday evening.
If you'd like, we would all enjoy a nice short story about a positive experience here. Optional.
Winner will get this SAE or ASE however you say it.
Thanks again to all,
Mark
The numbers have been put in motion and they have landed upon Treashunt. Congratulations.
Please PM me to claim your winnings and where you'd like the Brink's truck to park.
I enjoyed this. Thanks for playing and all the kind comments.

<< <i>That's cool. I'm in. >>
Me too

Dang! Slow fingers.
Wow!!! I'm in the club and didn't know it!
Without remembering that "Expert Collector" is my rank (the CJ persona has no documentation; brevet rank only, a promotion in the field for reckless bravery under fire when others were afraid they couldn't clear their checks) I had felt compelled to note that, in the far distant past, I had been an "expert collector".
Oh, for the simpler times.
You've run the gauntlet, Mark. It's an easy ride from here. . . .
Next meeting, I'm buying.

All of my collection is in a safe deposit box!
Enjoy the view.
I've won ASEs at coin shows in Tukwila, Sarasota and Baja Tukwila (Kent) so I'll pass on the cool give away and let some else have the thrill of winning silver.
I'm in and thanks for the opportunity

Your attitude about collecting is pretty cool. Keep it up
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
<< <i>Thanks for the chance on the giveaway!

I second that, and I'll add congrats on 2,500, well, 2,501!!

<< <i>You're giving all those things away? That's very generous of you. I'm in for this giveaway. Thanks. >>
Stop it, quit causing trouble. All that stuff constitutes the bulk of my collection.

These are the exact words from that giveaway, way back then. Just this simple.
