Question for the experts - 89 Upper Deck Foil Box

I've been going through some stuff I had tucked away in the back of a closet and I found an '89 Upper Deck high number box that I had forgotten about that I've had for at least 20 years. This one is shrink wrapped, and I was wondering whether it came that way from the factory or if it was an 'aftermarket' thing. I seem to remember that low boxes weren't shrink wrapped but possibly some of the high number boxes were, but not sure. Google has been no help, so I figured the experts here would know. Any info on this would be appreciated.

Just looked on eBay. Seems to be a mixed bag of non-wrapped and wrapped versions.

Upper deck only factory wrapped complete sets in 1989. Low and high series wax (at least first print) did not have factory wrap.

    Thanks,

Thanks for the info guys. I didn't remember the shrink wrap, and my other UD High box does not have it, so I figured this was the case.
