Should we post the name of resealers?

Should we post those who reseal or in the least move resealed product and will not offer a refund after the fact? Whether on eBay or thru AH's.

I'm running into this problem now. He doesnt even want to discuss a resolution. So I def want to warn my other CU members not to buy from him. ESP since he does sell a small to moderate amount and doesn't seem like stopping.

Yes. If you are absolutely certain that a seller is in fact a person resealing vintage sports cards, I believe that the collecting community has a right to know who that seller is. I would, however, be careful about accusing honest sellers who are nothing more than a victim of a person resealing vintage sports cards themselves.

I think this is a good idea, as well as those who sell resealing kits. There's quite a few mentioned in random threads, but would be nice to have a consolidated list. I don't recall their exact eBay IDs, but bruin<something> and BBG come to mind.
  • Mikeyp, In my mind even if they aren't the resealers they are guilty if they knowingly are moving resealed product.

That's after they are presented with all the evidence and still refuses to refund the money or to take it up with their consignor. An honest seller will try to rectify the problem. Not send a terse reply...too bad, I'm not refunding anything. Not even asking any additional details.

A seller should be outed for making a comment such as---"...too bad, I'm not refunding anything"
I personally do not want to deal with a seller with that type of attitude. If you feel uncomfortable
posting his ID please send me it through a PM.

  • Hi all,

Discussing this question in a general, non-specific manner is fine, but most people have already started naming names here. If everyone had 100% proof, that would be great. But the truth is that most are simply guessing and making assumptions on the matter. Therefore, we need to keep rule # 4 in mind.

Rule 4) Anyone making libelous remarks concerning any individual, any company, or any other entity will no longer be allowed to post. No more warnings.

If you have absolute proof of someone's wrongdoing, please do report them to the necessary entities (i.e., PSA, eBay, etc.).

    Regards,
