What does a PSA no holder mean?

Does a PSA Pack "No Holder" mean that it's Authentic and Untampered but just not graded because of loose gum? I wasn't sure if these packs ever make it to Steve at BBCE for authentication?

In the end it doesn't matter, because there's no
way to tell if that was the actual pack that was
    sent in.

No holder=no grade due to loose or broken gum. PSA will not grade those packs anymore.

That said, as Mr Bungle stated, you have no way to know for sure if these packs were authenticated by Steve or not.

I wouldn't buy from that seller, personally.

That pack is so fake its pathetic

All you need to do is look at those corners and see how worn they are

This is what happens when you make a pack using a worn wrapper with corner wear

If the idiot is going to make a fake pack, he should at least be smart enough to use a mint wrapper that doesnt already have corner wear (or holes).

Not commenting as if the pack is legit or not, but I have packs in a PSA slab showing similar corner wear. And the holes, well isn't that the reason PSA will not longer slab packs with loose gum?

That said, were I Steve, I would petition eBay to take that listing down. The seller is advertising it as authenticated by Steve, if someone buys it thinking that is the case, and suspects it isn't authentic... that tarnishes Steve's brand. A brand an increasing number of us have a stake in with BBCE products in our unopened collections.

  • Wasn't going to buy just curious about if Steve ever got his hands on the pack?

Although I don't have any inside information on this, I would
say that there would be no point in PSA sending a pack with
loose or broken gum to Steve for authentication when they
already know they aren't going to grade it.

It would just be a waste of everybody's time.
