Does "Set Rating" calculate rarity factor?

So if I enter a 16-D mercury dime for example into a Type set rather than a 1916-P,
does this effect the set rating or some other number/catagory involved in the calculation of your/my set?
Thank

Not on a type set, no. A type set uses the predetermined weight factor of the most common representative of the type. So a merc dime in a dime type set would be a 1 weight.

For a regular set, you get the predetermined weight of the specific date and mintmark. So a 16-D in a dime set would be a 8 weight (or whatever).
