Thanks to board member Publius, from whom I bought 5 wax packs of 82 Topps football. I'm a ripper and to follow are the results, pack by pack.

Lame first pack. The only "hit" was Fouts.
Always liked Selmon, but this card has severe gum residue. The sticker is George Rogers.
Only included Haden because somebody in a different thread was a fan of his. On to pack two!
1982 all pro Montana on the phone - love that card. good luck
<< <i>Anybody else remember how happy they were when they opened the first pack and saw helmets with actual NFL logos? >>
Yes. That's why I was partial to the Fleer sets because they had the logos.
Thanks,

<< <i>Dan ask the in-laws for some more card gifts you are so close to completion on those registry sets >>
Kind of a low blow dude. I know they're not much yet, but I didn't own a single graded card until 3 months ago. Given that, and my tiny budget, I think I'm doing ok. The main reason I registered them is that it's an easy way to organize my collection and track my progress. Impressing the likes of you was a distant second.
Pack 2 was much better, several HOFers/All time greats
Those dudes amassed a fair amount of catches.
Jack Lambert was on the sticker. Nice! On to pack 3.....
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

not intended as a burn was hoping you'd laugh with it. I just think it's a bit funny at times after that contest last year for new registry sets I saw hundreds of new sets with 1 or 2 cards only
good luck and get that Montana on the phone card
If you were starting a defense in 1982, you could do a lot worse than these two! Second different Klecko. Edited to add: realized later That's a Lott RC! The best pull of the night!
Obviously destroyed by gum, but thought this "Brothers" subset was interesting.
Fouts sticker. Second different Fouts. Pack 4 is next.....
Jmaciu's Collection

I have no idea what you're talking about. PSA, CU and graded cards were completely off my radar a year ago. Hell, 6 months ago.
Thanks for posting
First, 2 all time greats. Fouts for the 3rd time in 4 packs. Weird!
As a Pats fan, it was a lot of fun to pull a Julius with his sweet hair
I told myself pre-rip that I'd be happy with any Montana. Bam! Not sure the cell phone pic is great, but this card has near perfect centering.
And an LT sighting! Not his RC, but still not bad! One pack left....
A triumverate of good QBs. That's Ken Anderson on the left. Sorry for the crappy photos.
Charlie Joiner fans, double your pleasure. After 3 Fouts sightings, why not 2 of his best WR?
There's Largent on the right. Really like his cards.
Kickers gone wild! Another brothers card. Didn't know Matt Bahr had a brother in the league. The sticker is Tom Skladany, technically a punter.
And that's all folks! It was fun ripping and sharing!
Thanks,
David (LD_Ferg)
