JR Maxx Nascar Cards

First time posting. I wanted to see what kind of information is out there on value of these cards. I have had them put up for many years. Seems confusing to me, but I am not a collector per se. I have a display box (like what they had on the counter of a store) with all 44 unopened packs of cards in it. They are from 1988 and the Charlotte printed. I can't seem to find any info on unopened packs of cards. I figured it would be better for value to leave them sealed considering what an unopen pack of baseball cards are worth from year one, if they could be found. Is it better to open them all and sort them to get complete sets? It has been tempting to go through them, but I haven't. Thanks, Ben

    Do they look like this?

    1988 Maxx Box

I checked past eBay sales and it looks like they go for about $100 - $150 a box for the Charlotte printing. Much more if it was the Myrtle Beach printing.

    I would leave them sealed.

Welcome to the Jungle ! I would leave the box sealed.

  • Thanks for the warm welcome! The display box isn't sealed, but the packs of cards inside are. I guess it makes sense that there was wrap on the box too. I did read that article, but didn't understand that it was for what I had. I thought he was talking about complete driver sets, not unopened sets. Thanks again!
