What is the PAYPAL proper way to refund partial shipping costs??

Buyer buys like 10 items on EBAY and doesn't wait for combined invoice. He pays $30 for the ten items. How do I properly refund some of this to be all good with PAYPAL? And yes....he made 1 lump sum payment. This will be 1 package shipped. Thanks in advance.

U can refund thru paypal and give a partial refund.

Keep in mind your ebay/payapal shipping cut was taken on $30.

PLEASE NOTE If he paid for 10 separate items and you ship only 1 box......there may be 9 items that are sent without a delivery confirmation....as you may only be working of one label to be printed.

I almost got taken on this. Refunded $ for multiple items. Can only print label for one of the items....others have no DC.

Buyer emailed me "where are the other items?" Well I know all went into the same box. Pos feedback for the one means he received items.

Look into this. You may want to refund it all and then have him send a combined invoiced payment.

I hope others can chime into this point. If not hope he's honest.

Best thing would be to refund the whle thing and then send him a new invoice, but I've used the partial refund option a lot of time with no issues. And I think if you do a partial refund, ebay will know that and adjust the final fee for the lower shipping.

That is correct -- there should be no issue with DC -- just manually add it to the other items.

Partial refunds are fairly simple via PayPal.

I also recommend following up with an email to the buyer explaining what is happening -- he/she might forget or not realize that you refunded/combined shipping and ding your stars.

Go to the payment made in a paypal and refund him the extra shipping and then when you ship the items eBay will give a prompt allowing you to combine multiple orders into one shipping label.

They will handle the rest.

The only thing that will work against you is that you will be charged a FVF for the extra shipping (you receive your PP fees back when you refund the extra shipping).
