To many injuries and to many teams really hurts his chances.

escpecially the injuries. teams also but theres guys like rickey henderson who've been with about 28 teams

Even if he got to 500, he wouldn't have gotten in. Henderson is a shoo-in for the HOF, though.

yanksfan, thats a tough call. i don't think theres ever been a player to hit 500 hr's and not make the hall. theres usually certain #'s in baseball like 500 hr's 3000 hits and 300 wins where you automatically get in

Not a chance unless he's voted in by the veterans committee in 25 years.Not a favorite of the media who basicly vote him in.Had some great all around years but not enough consistency and he did a lot as a DH,which will hurt him ala Harold Baines

3000 hits will stay, but 500 hr in the future, will not be enought to get in.

i agree with you guys on your points. and in my opinion theres guys in there with 300 wins ( sutton, niekro ) who don't belong. these guys were NEVER dominant pitchers and accumilated these stats with just good, decent years...not great years
