Looks like there might be some wax under the "ne" in Gene and the "r" in Parker up top on the reverse. Hard to tell from the scan. Run your finger across and see if you feel anything.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
I see a couple of marks in the stat line right next to the "22" in the Salem line. Also, just to the right of the word "record" above the stats, it looks like a small white speck. Those might be considered "stains", even though its hard to tell from the scan
I don't follow. Who said there's a stain? You're showing us a raw card. Are you saying that it has since been submitted to PSA and they detected a stain?

That is what I was thinking, the area between PARKER and the first name of the signature, David. Also extends a little below the R in PARKER.
What is that just above his right shoulder on the front of the card. It looks like a small brown "blotch"....that could be just something on the scanner though.

I am assuming that it once was in a PSA holder with an ST qualifier.
There appear to be minor blemishes on the back of the card, but nothing that I would consider to be either a gum stain or a wax stain.
"Nobody's ever gone the distance with Creed, and if I can go that distance, you see, and that bell rings and I'm still standin', I'm gonna know for the first time in my life, see, that I weren't just another bum from the neighborhood."
The whole upper left quadrant of the back appears to be discolored, but not sure I would call it a stain. It's a lot more brown along the edges than the rest of the gray areas on the back.
Is the dark red triangular mark halfway of the left of the card above the "P" part of the net - part of the image? It is a different red than all the other stuff in those areas on the card. My .02.

Eric ... I have to think that's what gave it the Qualifier. Here's another Parker Rookie without that mark:
STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

That's the same thing I was looking at. It definitely shouldn't be there. I wasn't sure if it was the scanner or the card.

Thanks. Cool. I have never even seen this card before I have not held a baseball card since the 1970's? However, I am very detail oriented. I buy/sell mostly vintage autographs, ocean liner artifacts and vintage photography, but I lurk here often. I used to be in coins but not for some time.

Edit to add: Ryan, I see now you caught it - I was looking over MY right shoulder LOL
