How many year 2001 Memembers still around??

How many folks are still around from this message boards initial year of 2001? Was there a beta site before 2001?

How many year 2001 Memembers still around??

    +1

Never saw the old site that some others have referred to. I think the earliest guys were transfered here and have Feb 2001 as their "member since" status.

Feb 2001 is the earliest date stamp you can have I believe, I was on this boards earlier than Feb but can't really recall what the site looked like back then.

Anyone remember when Superior Sports Cards was linked to the PSA site directly and you could buy and sell to them?

Does anyone have a link to the original forums? I didn't see one in the web archive link Dave provided.

Me too. Not as active as I used to be, but still read the forums.

There were some wild times back then. I remember when Brian Wentz came on and pretty much called out the Wagner issue with Maestro. Turns out he was right.

This made me check my own initiation date. Looks like this is my ten-year anniversary. Wow! Quite a bit has changed in that time, that's for sure!

I remember the 72 Set Registry thread was one of the largest early threads.

I was just playing around with the wayback machine and actually found a copy of my wantlist as it existed in January 1999. What a trip to see what I was collecting then and how that particular wantlist is almost completely finished.

When did they get rid of the "Open Forum"?? There use to be some interesting threads in there!!

There was a forum prior to this one. They did a revamp and if I recall, all of the old ID's were lost. I used to go by, "TooHecktic" and then remember the site being down for awhile and I lost touch, but ended up signing back up, but opted to use the name that I was using everywhere else.
