I'm no expert, but looks similar to a coin of Herod Agrippa. Here's a link to an offering of a lot of these offered by Forum Ancient Coins.

I thought widows mite coins had a dot with rays extending out in a circular shape on one side of the coin.

the "widow's mite" is supposed to have the seleucid anchor on the one side isn't it?

Ajaan, that is not a "widow's mite." It is a Prutah of Herod Agrippa I who ruled from AD 37-44. It is still an important part of Biblical history and a cool coin.
