Info on Rotman Auction and PAID, Inc.

Rotman's was a pretty significant entity out of New England until the later part of the 1980's and early 1990's. Not sure about the new company and whether or not they're playing on the Rotman name. I'd tread lightly unless you can verify the items.

all I can say I entered many of their auctions back in the day and won some pretty nice stuff.

  • Those are blast from the past names. Renetta and Rotman's. I remember buying US Gerslyn supplies back in the day as well.
  • I miss their boxes. They had a monster box that you could put the cards sideways. I still have some of them and I wish that I had more.

I've also won some nice things from their auctions.

Rotmans was a large furniture company in Worcester, MA that also had a small sportscards store attached to the building. I believe they did a ton of mail order back in the day too. I was under the impression it was more of a passion project for the owner or someone affiliated with the company and that they went out of business years ago. Autographs are tough enough when you're dealing with industry-standard authenticators, it's a major roll of the dice with fringe or unknowns. I would stay away, but perhaps I'm overly cautious.
